Get lucky, get wise
Over time, we are supposed to get wiser. Building on things our fathers and mothers learned can be quite useful to save some time in our own learning lives. This is how we grow. Key is the fact that we can speak in the language our parents spoke. Another key aspect then, is to listen to them.
