Relativity

This film-installation consists of self-developed (aka DIY) 16mm film loop, shot in Rotterdam-Zuid juxtaposed with independently projected subtitle slides in different loop speed.

The subtitles feature translated quotes from Albert Einstein (19/20th century), Voltaire (17/18th century) and Orunmila (500 BCE).

Combinations of image and subtitle are new each time (although they themselves repeat) thus creating new narratives.

The relativity and timelessness of meaning are highlighted.

This video is a digital registration of a possible point in time of the work
